Hampta Pass, perched at 14,010 ft, is one of Himachal Pradesh’s most dramatic and accessible crossover treks. Connecting the lush green valleys of Kullu to the arid landscapes of Spiti, this trek offers a stunning contrast of terrain and scenery within just a few days. From pine forests, wildflower meadows, and glacial valleys to stark mountain deserts, the Hampta Pass is a perfect blend of natural beauty and adventure — ideal for beginners and seasoned trekkers alike.

Trek Route: Jobra – Chika – Balu ka Ghera – Hampta Pass – Shea Goru – Chatru – Manali

Day 1: Manali to Jobra – Trek to Chika
- Drive: 2 hours from Manali to Jobra (9,800 ft)
- Trek: 2–3 hours to Chika (10,100 ft)
- Trail features forest trails, river crossings, and meadow views
- Overnight stay in tents at Chika
Day 2: Chika to Balu Ka Ghera
- Trek: 9 km | 6–7 hours
- Altitude gain: Up to 11,900 ft
- Trail passes through alpine meadows, waterfalls, and rocky terrain
- Overnight stay in tents at Balu Ka Ghera
Day 3: Balu Ka Ghera to Hampta Pass – Descend to Shea Goru
- Trek: 10 km | 8–9 hours
- Cross Hampta Pass (14,010 ft)
- Spectacular views of Indrasan and Deo Tibba peaks
- Steep descent to Shea Goru
- Overnight stay in tents at Shea Goru
Day 4: Shea Goru to Chatru – Drive to Chandratal (optional)
- Trek: 6 km | 3–4 hours
- Cross rivers and descend into the Spiti region
- Optional drive to Chandratal Lake (subject to weather and road conditions)
- Overnight stay in tents or guesthouse
Day 5: Chatru to Manali
- Drive back to Manali via the scenic Rohtang Pass
- Reach Manali by late afternoon
- Trek ends
Inclusions
- All accommodation during the trek (tents/guesthouses)
- All vegetarian meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) during the trek
- Experienced trek leaders, guides, and support staff
- Forest permits and camping charges
- Basic first-aid, oxygen cylinder, and safety equipment
- Transportation from Manali to trek start point and return (as per itinerary)
- Sleeping bags, mats, tents, and toilet tents

- Meals in Manali before/after the trek
- Travel insurance, evacuation costs
- Porter charges for personal luggage
- Personal expenses (laundry, phone, snacks, bottled water)
- Visit to Chandratal (if road is blocked or weather doesn’t permit)
- Anything not specifically mentioned in the “Inclusions” section

- Trekkers must carry a government-issued photo ID and fitness certificate (if required).
- A written cancellation request must be submitted for any refund (refer to cancellation policy).
- No refunds will be issued in cash.
- Weather conditions, natural calamities, or government restrictions may lead to route changes or trek cancellation. The decision of the trek leader will be final in such cases.
- Trekkers are responsible for their personal belongings.
- Backpack offloading is available on prior request at ₹3,500 per bag (12 kg max).
