Located just a short drive from Manali, the Bhrigu Lake Trek is one of the most scenic and accessible high-altitude treks in Himachal Pradesh. Perched at 14,100 ft, Bhrigu Lake holds mythological significance and is believed to be the meditation site of Maharishi Bhrigu.

This trek offers spectacular views of snow-clad peaks, lush meadows, and alpine ridges — all within a short 3-day itinerary. Ideal for beginners and weekend trekkers looking to experience high-altitude beauty without venturing too far into the wilderness.

.Day 1: Manali to Gulaba – Trek to Jonker Thatch

  • Drive from Manali to Gulaba (2–3 hours)
  • Trek to Jonker Thatch (~3–4 hours) through scenic oak and deodar forests
  • Altitude: ~9,800 ft to 10,500 ft
  • Overnight stay: Campsite at Jonker Thatch

Day 2: Jonker Thatch to Bhrigu Lake – Return to Camp

  • Early morning trek to Bhrigu Lake (~5–6 hours)
  • Reach the stunning alpine lake nestled in meadows and surrounded by snow
  • Altitude: 14,100 ft
  • Spend time at the lake, descend back to camp
  • Overnight stay: Campsite

Day 3: Camp to Gulaba – Drive back to Manali

Trek ends

Descend to Gulaba (~2–3 hours)

Drive back to Manali; reach by early afternoon

Inclusions

  • Accommodation in alpine tents (shared basis)
  • All veg meals during trek (Day 1 lunch to Day 3 breakfast)
  • Transportation from Manali to Gulaba and return
  • Trek leader, guides, and support staff
  • Forest permits & camping charges
  • Sleeping bags, mats, toilet tents
  • First aid and basic safety equipment

Exclusions

  • Meals in Manali before or after the trek
  • Personal expenses (bottled water, snacks, etc.)
  • Backpack offloading charges (₹1,200 extra for entire trek)
  • Travel insurance
  • Emergency evacuation or medical expenses
  • Anything not mentioned under “Inclusions”
