Rupin Pass, perched at an altitude of approximately 15,380 feet, is a breathtaking high-altitude mountain pass in the Indian Himalayas, located in Himachal Pradesh. Traditionally used by shepherds and locals for seasonal migration, the Rupin Pass trek offers a journey steeped in culture and natural beauty.
The trail begins in Jiskun village (Shimla district) and concludes in Sangla (Kinnaur district), revealing a striking variety of Himalayan landscapes across seasons. Along the way, trekkers encounter remote villages, glimpses of traditional mountain life, alpine meadows, cascading streams, diverse flora and fauna, majestic waterfalls, rugged peaks, and snowfields — making it one of the most scenic and enriching treks in the region.

Day 1: Shimla/Rohru to Jiskun Village
- Altitude: Chanshal Pass – 12,303 ft | Jiskun – 6,800 ft
- Distance: 200 km (Approx. 90 km off-road from Chirgaon to Jiskun)
- Drive Time: 8–9 hours
- Pick-up Point: Shimla Old Bus Stand at 6:00 AM
- Network Availability: BSNL (Satellite till Jakha), Airtel (Regular network)
- ATM Access: Rohru & Chirgaon
- Accommodation: Traditional wooden homestay at Jiskun
- Meals: Welcome drink & dinner included
Day 2: Jiskun to Jakha Village
- Altitude: 8,900 ft
- Trek Distance: 5–10 km
- Difficulty: Challenging – descent followed by a steep climb
- Highlights: Traditional villages, tea/Maggi shops en route
- Network: BSNL & Airtel (Satellite)
- Meals: Hot lunch at Jakha, dinner included
- Activity: Local temple visit post-lunch
- Accommodation: Homestay at Jakha
Day 3: Jakha to Rasarang / Dhandras Thach (Lower Waterfall Camp)
- Altitude: 11,700 ft
- Trek Distance: 11 km
- Highlights: First snow bridge crossing, steep climbs, snowfields, views of Rupin Valley & river
- Accommodation: Campsite with views of Rupin Waterfall and snow-capped peaks
Day 4: Lower Waterfall to Upper Waterfall Camp
- Altitude: 13,500 ft
- Trek Distance: 4 km
- Trek Type: Short but steep, multiple waterfall crossings, slippery terrain
- Highlight: Vertical snow hike through stunning scenery
- Accommodation: Overnight stay in alpine camps
Day 5: Upper Waterfall Camp to Rupin Pass Summit to Ronti Gad
- Highest Altitude: 15,380 ft (Rupin Pass), descend to 13,000 ft (Ronti Gad)
- Trek Distance: 12 km
- Highlights: Glaciers, snowfields, boulder crossings (rope may be used), views of Kinnaur Kailash range
- Accommodation: Campsite in alpine meadows
Day 6: Ronti Gad to Sangla Kande to Sangla Town – Drive to Shimla
- Altitude: 8,660 ft
- Trek Distance: 12 km
- Highlights: Forest trail through blue pine, deodar, and oak overlooking Sangla Valley
- Optional: Hire a Bolero (₹4,000 approx.) from Sangla Kande to Sangla town
- Transport: Post-lunch drive to Shimla (Reach by midnight)
- Nearby Attractions: Optional visit to Rakchham, Kamru, Kalpa, or Chitkul villages
- Note: Book accommodation in Shimla accordingly
Day 7: Buffer Day
Reserved in case of weather delays. Decided by trek leader and may be placed at Jakha or Dhandras Thach.

Cancellation Policy
All cancellations must be submitted in writing. The refund amount will be calculated based on the date we receive the written cancellation request.
No refunds will be issued in cash.
Note: We reserve the right to modify or cancel the policy at any time without prior notice. Change of trek batch is subject to seat availability.
Refund Structure
- 30 Days or More Before Trek Start Date
- Get a 90% refund or reschedule to any trek within one year.
- (If the new trek costs more, the difference must be paid by the trekker.)
- 18 to 30 Days Before Trek Start Date
- Get a 60% refund or reschedule to the same/other trek within one year.
- (Additional charges apply if the new trek is costlier.)
- 10 to 18 Days Before Trek Start Date
- Get a 30% refund or shift to the same trek with another batch (subject to availability).
- Less than 10 Days Before Trek Start Date
- No refund or rescheduling will be possible.
Backpack Offloading Policy
We encourage trekkers to carry their own backpacks to enhance the trekking experience. However, if you wish to offload your backpack, please inform us in advance.
- Offloading Charge: ₹3,500 per bag for the entire trek
- Maximum Weight: 12 kg per bag
- Note: Offloading is allowed only for registered bags. Uninformed requests on trek days may not be accommodated.
